I’m Fabio, and I’m excited to share my journey, insights, and passion for running with you. Who am I? A quick introduction
Born and raised in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy, my sports journey began on the soccer field, where I spent years playing and coaching two teams. Over time, my love for sports expanded to more adrenaline-filled adventures like climbing, mountain biking, and snowboarding. These experiences taught me the value of pushing boundaries and embracing challenges.
For the past 13 years, I’ve called Munich, Germany, my home. Here, I balance my day job as an engineer and technical project manager with my passion for running. Running became my “safe place” — a way to clear my mind and find balance in life. What started with trail running half-marathons in the mountains has now evolved into a quest to conquer longer distances and reach new personal milestones.
From runner to coach: my coaching journey
Like many runners, my journey hasn’t been without its bumps and bruises. After experiencing over-training and realizing the need for guidance, I decided to become the coach I once needed. I pursued my education in running, earning a European running trainer certification and a master’s in running. I am also recognized as a certified trainer by CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee). But my learning didn’t stop there — I’m continuously expanding my knowledge in areas like nutrition and athletic preparation to offer the best coaching possible.
This passion and commitment led me to found Future Athletes Running, a coaching service that focuses on helping runners avoid common pitfalls and reach their full potential. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your technique, my approach combines scientific methodology, personalized progress tracking, and a focus on injury prevention and technique improvement.
